Key:

A - Organic gases and vapours

B - Acid gases, chlorine, hydrogen cyanide or hydrogen sulphide

E - Sulphur dioxide

K - Ammonia

P1 - For use against mechanically generated particulates (eg Silica)

P2 - For use against mechanically and thermally generated particulates (eg Metal Fume)

P3* - For use against all particulates including toxic materials (eg Beryllium)



* For non-powered respirators, Class P3 respirator classification can only be assigned where a Class P3 filter is combined wiith a full facepiece
